Songwriting!

The kids were bursting with creative energy today! We started with a call and response rhythm circle, adding vocal explorations and movement explorations as we repeated. All the kids were super into it and seemed to be having a lot of fun with the creative freedom. Then we went back to the tables and focused on songwriting, with the kids shouting out suggestions for song topics that they could make rhymes for. We ended up with a hybrid song about money and gummy bears, and some of the lyrics were silly and fun, others were genuine poetry! During our checkout, lots of kids said they were feeling happy, and so was I!
